About this event
Join your fellow alumni for a guided (virtual) wine tasting and discussion highlighting three female winemakers, followed by a short question and answer session.
Together with Certified Sommelier Elizabeth Smith, we will taste three wines, and learn about what makes these wines so special. We'll also briefly review tasting techniques to assess their characteristics; discuss women in the wine industry; and answer your questions.
Zoom link will be sent to you on March 2.
We will be tasting:
- Arianna Occhipinti SP68 Sicilia Bianco 2019
- Filipa Pato 3B Extra Brut Rose
- Catena Malbec 2018
Attending the event is complimentary and does NOT include wine.
To purchase the wines we will be tasting, we encourage you to contact your local wine seller (for our NYC alumni, all of these wines are available at Astor Wines & Spirits) or order them online at wine.com (availability may vary by state).
Note: You do not need to purchase all three bottles to attend the event, feel free to purchase only one or two if you prefer. No single bottle is priced over $35 and you should be able to purchase all three for less than $75 total. If you do not drink alcohol, you are welcome to attend, learn, and socialize.
Questions? Contact Director of Alumni Engagement Adrienne Moon at moon@hamlin.org or 415.674.5425.
